As a Canadian-born Sikh, I bring a deep appreciation for cultural sensitivity and the importance of honoring each person’s identity within the healing process. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and ages and strive to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful space where clients feel heard, valued, and supported. My approach to therapy is holistic and person-centred. I integrate traditional talk therapy with mindfulness, body-centred techniques, and goal-oriented strategies to support meaningful and lasting change. Together, we explore how emotions show up in both the mind and body, helping you develop practical tools to manage challenges, build resilience, and move forward with greater confidence. Clients often leave therapy with a deeper sense of self-awareness and empowerment. I believe therapy is not about giving you all the answers; it’s about helping you reconnect with your own strengths, values, and inner resources so you can navigate life’s challenges in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.

My name is Sania. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta, a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Victoria, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from McGill University.

I have extensive experience providing mental health services to a diverse client population across various settings. I have worked in both acute care and ambulatory care clinics, as well as in primary care networks, in both Alberta and Ontario. I also have experience in private practice, providing individual and couples counselling.

Therapy can be daunting and taking the step to access it requires going out of your comfort zone. I thrive at making your initial experience a positive one, where you feel at ease, and are comfortable to continue processing life’s challenges. I like to work collaboratively with my clients to formulate goals, ensure that you feel heard, and give you tangible strategies to manage your life experiences.

I feel like life can be very serious at times and different settings require you to behave a certain way. Therapy needs to be the opposite! Be yourself, relax, and let’s work through it! I look forward to working with you.

My name is Oge Obiorah, and I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Counselling. My professional journey has taken me through both urgent and everyday spaces, supporting individuals in acute care during critical moments, and walking alongside others through longer seasons of anxiety, depression, life transitions, and emotional healing. These experiences shape my practice and allow me to show up with grounded expertise and a calm, steady presence. As a mother, I’ve come to understand empathy in its most vivid form, the quiet, tender moments where vulnerability and hope coexist. That way of caring threads through my work and meets you in each session. I draw on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed care, and Solution-Focused methods to help bring clarity, steadiness, and practical tools when life feels overwhelming. Therapy with me is not about jargon or quick fixes, but about trust, honest connection, and meaningful progress at your pace. Whether you’re navigating self-doubt, transition, or a desire to reconnect with joy, I hope to meet you where you are, with warmth, grounded care, and tools you can carry forward. Let’s take that step together.

Okay, let’s be honest. If you’re scrolling through Psychology Today wondering whether or not you need therapy, you probably do. And here’s why: you don’t need your life to be completely falling apart before you come to therapy. You don’t need a dramatic backstory, a perfectly organized timeline of your trauma, or even the right words. You can literally show up and say, “Everything feels weird, and I don’t know why.” I know firsthand how intimidating therapy can feel, especially if your idea of therapy comes from movies or TV. Maybe you’re worried I’ll stare at you over my glasses and ask, “And how does that make you feel?” every five minutes. I mean…I do wear glasses, and I probably will ask you how things made you feel but not in the intimidating, overly serious way the movies make it seem. Therapy with me is simply a conversation. A space where you can show up exactly as you. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I have a humanistic approach and draw from CBT, ACT, EFT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Gottman Method interventions for couples. My goal isn’t to “fix” you. It’s to help you understand yourself better, develop healthier patterns, and create meaningful change that that lasts beyond our sessions.
